"Naturalnie z Podlasia!" is the Idea of 2007!

On Saturday of March the 15th, 2008, during an annual grand Finale Gala there were pronounced the winners of the IV edition of the competition Podlaskie Region Brand of the Year 2007, organised by the Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. Cluster initiative "Naturalnie z Podlasia!" proposed by the Association Food Cluster "Naturalnie z Podlasia!" was recognized as the Idea of 2007. The other winners are – roasted carp with boletus (House of Creative Work in Wigry) as the Taste of 2007 and Agroarena in Szepietowo (The Podlaskie Region Centre of Agricultural Consultancy in Szepietowo) as the Place of 2007. During the annual Gala we also got to know an Honourable Ambassador of the Podlaskie Voivodeship - the director of the centre Borderland of Arts, Cultures, Nations in Sejny –  Krzysztof Czyżewski.

During the ceremony a special distinguishing was also given to the winners of an Internet opinion poll on Wrota Podlasia portal.  Podlaskie Region Consumers Awards were given to: Anna Okulczyk for her “Baked dumplings” (category Taste), the County Office in Narewka for “Tamara Sołoniewicz Gallery in Narewka” (category Idea) and the Podlaskie Region Centre of Agricultural Consultancy in Szepietowo for “Agroarena in Szepietowo”.

For the title of the Taste, the Place and the Idea of the Year 2007 during this edition competed 113 products. Three main winners were honoured with a statuette “Oak leaf” in every of three competition categories. The other nominated received honourable distinguishing.

Category Idea II distinguishing for organizing the 94th World Esperanto Congress in Białystok received  the Municipal Office in Białystok.  I distinguishing for “Days of modern art” received the Cultural Centre in Białystok (BOK).  Podlaskie Region Brand of the Year 2007 received a cluster initiative "Naturalnie z Podlasia!". 

Category Taste II distinguishing for the Tartar Dessert ''Listkowiec'' with the tea ''Kruszynianka'' received a farm tourism ''Tatarska Jurta ''.I distinguishing for the Ham form Puńsk received the Old Polish Delicatessen ''Lech'' run by Lech Zwolan. Podlaskie Region Brand of the Year 2007 received the House of Creative Work in Wigry for roasted carp with boletus. 

Category Place II distinguishing for the revived Urban Market received the Municipal Office in Białystok.  I distinguishing for the pedestrian Boulevards along the Netta river and the lake Necko in Augustów received the Municipal Office in Augustów. Podlaskie Region Brand of the Year 2007 received The Podlaskie Region Centre of Agricultural Consultancy in Szepietowo for Agroarena in Szepietowo.
